Carnival Cruise Lines announced that they will offer a round-trip 14 day Alaska cruise from Long Beach, California in 2017. This is an abnormally long schedule for this cruise line.
The cruise will be departing Long Beach September 2, 2017 on Carnival's Miracle. Their first port of call will be Icy Strait Point, the private destination near Juneau operated on behalf of the Tlingit Indian tribe.
The cruise will include a full one day sailing into Glacier Bay with the Alaska ports of Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Sitka, and then on to Vancouver, BC on its return.
Carnival has recently been offering longer, more varied cruises under its Carnival Journeys program. Most of Carnival's cruises were less than 10 days previously.
The cruise lines' Alaska schedule of itineraries for 2017 and 2018 will also include 38 cruises of seven or eight nights on-board the Carnival Legend.
